Jump to navigationJump to searchThe timeline for the PostgreSQL 9.2 development cycle was initially planned at the PgCon 2011 Developer Meeting. The schedule is based on the 9.1 timeline moved forward one year, with some optimizations from on developer feedback.
- June 1, 2011: branch off 9.1, committing into head/trunk/master for 9.2 can begin.
- June 15, 2011 - July 14, 2011: commit fest 1. Primarily for contributors who are not involved in preparing the 9.1 release.
- Around July 15, 2011: 9.2alpha1 release
- September 15, 2011 - October 15, 2011: commit fest 2
- Around October 20, 2011: 9.2alpha2 release
- November 15, 2011 - December 15, 2011: commit fest 3
- Around December 20, 2011: 9.2alpha3 release
- January 15, 2012 - February 15, 2012: commit fest 4
- Around February 20, 2012: 9.2alpha4 release
- Followed by possibly more alpha releases
- Beta
- Release candidates
- Release
